Jose Arredondo, Father of K-Pop Star Kim Samuel Becomes Victim of Murder

Samuel Kim Arredondo is a singer who has been in the music scene since 2015. He has released a solo album titled Eye Candy and was once part of the group 1Punch duo. He got the nickname Punch from the name of the group duo. In 2017 he appeared in a reality show competition called Produce 101.


His father, Jose Arredondo, was a well-known businessman who owned a business group of car dealers and real estate companies in Southern California. On Tuesday 16 July Kim's father was found lifeless in his neighborhood in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Investigations conducted by the police found signs of trauma caused by blunt objects, not only that the body also had stab wounds caused by sharp objects. Local police concluded that Jose Arredondo was a victim of murder. Arredondo's body was found lying on the floor with several injuries caused by a knife stab on his back.

Jose Arrendondo came to the United States with his family when he was only 11 years old and he did not understand English at all. Initially he worked washing cars to support his family before successfully acquiring several car dealers in Bakersfield, California. He then managed to become a businessman who made a lot of money and became a leader of the church community. Jose once donated a car to the local New Life Church, which he visited for more than 20 years. Arredondo is very famous in his residence around Bakersfield because he managed to help the surrounding community from poverty with the efforts of some of his car dealers.

Samuel, born in Los Angeles as Kim Samuel and decided to stay in Korea in 2017. Samuel was born to a Mexican father with a Korean mother. Before he became a K-pop star, Samuel had become an advertising star for his father's car dealer. He also appeared at the Seventeen TV Ustream program before the show became famous. Samuel, who finally decided to pursue a career in South Korea, was previously hostile to the management of Brave Entertainment, who later decided to leave and start his own career.
